About this event
We will join other groups and walk in the Juneteenth Parade at Prairie Fire.
Parade Info:
- All participants will need to arrive & lineup between 8:15a.m. - 9:10a.m.
- The staging area will start on the side of Chicken-N-Pickle and go to 137th st as needed
- See attached parade route for reference
- Invite others to watch the parade. They may sit all along the parade route (Bring lawn chairs)
- The parade is 1.2 miles
- The parade will start at 9:30a.m.
- The parade will stop at 4 pre-designated stops. Groups should only stop when the entire parade stops.
General Info:
- After the parade, stick around and enjoy some of the other events:
- There will be a petting zoo
- KC Wolf will be there 12:30p.m. - 1:00p.m.
- There will be free snow cones (while supplies last)
- There will be face painting
- There will be an obstacle course
- There will be a DJ, performers, speakers and vendors
- Bring your "Boots On the Ground" Fans to join in the Boots on the Ground line dance
Please register so we can keep you informed.
We will have jobs for people who can't walk that far.
While the whole event lasts until 1, after the parade is over, you can leave.
