Help spread the word

This year is an election year! We have a tremendous Voter Information committee that dedicates significant time and effort to organizing and distributing information that help voters made informed decisions at the polls. Just a few of the things they do include:

  • vote411.org
  • Voter to Voter
  • Legislative Coffees
  • Candidate Forums
  • Youth programs
They are an amazing group, but they can't do it alone. The Voter Information committee is asking all League members to help the League's message reach outside the League bubble. You can help by:
  • Attending as many league events as possible, and bringing non-League guests
  • Asking friends and relatives how we can reach more of the community, and letting the committee know what you hear.

August 26, Women's Equality Day, marks the anniversary of the certification of the 19th amendment, which granted some women the right to vote. In 2022, the national League declared August 26 Women's Inequality Day, stating "we are far from equal in our democracy." The statement demanded:

  • Voting rights legislation that protects voters, particularly voters of color who are often the target of voter suppression.
  • That the Equal Rights Amendment be added to the Constitution
  • That reproductive freedoms are restored
You can participate in Women's Inequality Day by sharing information on social media and telling Congress your Women's Equality Wish List via the national League's petition.

Stay engaged and informed
